Allen Rubin started the martial arts at the age of 8 years old. Beginning with Japanese Jiu Jitsu at the local YMCA. At that time, he also started training with the Nunchakus.

After 4 years of Jiu Jitsu, Allen began taking the art of Ji Do Kwan Karate from Jerry Erickson. Allen trained there over 15 years and by the age of 24 had obtained his 4th Dan.

At 24, Allen began to also train at the IMB Academy with Dan Inosanto & Richard Bustillo. Allen trained there for 6 ½ years, while still training with Jerry Erickson and advancing to 5th Dan.

During this time, Allen was competing in point tournaments and created a specialized jewelry company that catered to the martial artist, called Dragon-Ear Jewelers.

Allen sponsored tournaments and provided the prizes of hand made gold and diamond dragon pendants and rings, as well as other items. Allen has had the honor of making the logos into rings and pendants for the likes of Ed Parker, Benny The Jet Urquidez, Tadashi Yamashita, and others.

Allen would bring the actors from the top current martial arts movies to the Dragon-Ears Jewelers booth at the tournaments for them to sign autographs and posters for all the kids and guests.

During all of this Allen also got into stunt acting and fight choreography for the movies. Allen received his SAG card from Chuck Norris in the movie Sidekicks.

Allen continued to perform stunts as well as regular acting roles until he had gotten onto a crew and from there work his way up to producer. Allen produced 6 martial arts/action movies with such well known martial artists as Rorion Gracie, Cynthia Rothrock, Rigan, Machado, Deron McBee (Malibu in American Gladiators), Don Gibb (Bloodsport), Paulo Tocha (Paco in Bloodsport), as well as others.

Allen was cast in the Steven Seagal video game as one of the bad guys, (the CIA Lab Technician). After which, Allen became the casting director for Neo Geo video games, specifically, The Art Of Fighting I, II, III.

Allen has also trained in Gracie Jiu Jitsu, Aikido (Mits Yamashita), Escrima/Arnis, Butterfly Knives, Machado Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai (10 + Years with Paulo Tocha), and has worked as security for Johnny Depp’s Viper Room for 6 years in the past. Allen did work as a personal bodyguard for numerous clients.

Allen continues to train in Muay Thai and has recently gone with Paulo Tocha to Thailand, Burma, Cambodia, and Laos to film a Muay Thai documentary written and directed by Paulo.

On August 1st 2009, Allen was inducted into the United States Martial Arts Hall Of Fame in Nashville, Tennessee.

Allen was also inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall Of Honors in Atlantic City, New Jersey in 2010.

On August 27 2011, Allen was inducted into the MASTERS HALL OF FAME in a ceremony at the Anaheim Convention Center. Allen continues to teach weapons and martial arts privately only.
